Design of the rear drive axle of the suburban bus SOR

This thesis deals with the choice of suitable rear axle and the subsequent design of its placement into the frame of the new SOR bus. There is processed the determination of loading forces in three types of driving conditions. Furthermore, the strength analysis of the axle beam is carried out using the forces obtained.

In the thesis are listed marks and types of cars, which use this types of axles.

The diploma thesis deals with the design of the chassis structure for an electric off-road vehicle of the crosskart type. In the first part, the research part of the sub-components that are used for the construction of these vehicles is briefly mentioned, including their aspects that must be known when designing the vehicle. The second part describes the actual design of the front and rear axle structure, which was optimized in the program Adams Car and then a model was created in the program Solidworks. The entire design of the chassis was constructed with the intention of assembling the chassis from commonly available components that are currently on the market.
